The Old Rectory is a Residential care home for the elderly, located in the attractive village of Nunney, within a short walk from the 14th century castle, church, delightful english pub, village shop and tea rooms, surrounded by the picturesque countryside.

Our care home is a period house, complemented by a purpose-built modern extension and attractive grounds and has been family run since 1987. We understand how important it is to have a relaxing, homely environment, giving as much independence to our residents as their individual circumstances allow. It is natural for people to want to remain in their own homes and be independent but we recognise that this is not always possible and we therefore feel that we can offer the next best thing in our home from home environment. This provides family and friends with the peace of mind in the knowledge that your loved ones are in safe hands.

Caring for our residents is incredibly rewarding and we are proud to make a difference to their lives, offering a compassionate, friendly and homely environment, with highly trained experienced staff, dedicated to meeting their needs.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that residents feel relaxed, whilst having a real sense of security and the freedom of independence they would have in their own home. We ensure your life at The Old Rectory is as rewarding and comfortable as possible, welcoming friends and family to visit any time of day to fit in with your lifestyle.

We had an inspection by CQC in August 2016 which they found some areas to be good and others that required improvement, causing our overall rating to be requires improvement. Please feel free to read the full report on the CQC website via the following link www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-2520081285

Our Aims and Objectives

We aim to enhance the quality of our residents lives by providing a safe, manageable and comfortable environment in which highly trained and competent staff meet needs and provide support and stimulation to each individual in our care. Having goals in place can be an important aspect of care, as supporting individuals to recognise and achieve these goals can make a real difference to the way in which they live their lives.

We strive to ensure that all our residents are happy and content, giving individuals every possible choice in how they lead their lives and by respecting their rights and privacy, basing our standards of care on these core values. We invite our residents and their family and friends to take part in an annual quality assurance questionnaires as we constantly strive to improve the service we provide.
